@RohanPatelMD

Dr. Patel is a 4th year resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, Case Western Reserve University. He is pursuing a Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in global health and policy, with his capstone thesis focusing on understanding patient education models for radiation therapy in low- and middle-income countries. His research interests in global health, cancer disparities and patient education intersect with his passion for his patients: to deliver high-quality equitable cancer care to all, especially for marginalized populations like the LGBTQIA2+, Asian, and Pacific Islander communities.

Dr. Patel is actively involved in national and international committees such as ASTRO’s International Committee and IASLC’s Global Policy Committee, hoping to use his diverse perspective to help advocate for equitable global radiotherapy. Dr. Patel is committed to fostering a curious, safe, and empowered environment for his colleagues, patients, and community.
